ESOL

ESOL stands for English Speakers of Other Languages. Students are identified using the Home Language Survey on their Student Registration Form, and an English language proficiency assessment measuring the four domains of language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Once a student’s English language proficiency level is determined, they are provided with a variety of language supports from their classroom teachers, community language, and ESOL coordinator based on their individual needs.
